The present tutorial guide is intended for students of medical universities in the specialty 31.05.03 Dentistry and clinical residents in the specialty 31.08.07 Therapeutic Dentistry.
As the most signifi cant division of therapeutic dentistry, Cariology represents the primary focus of this tutorial. The content comprehensively addresses caries diagnosis, clinical manifestations, treatment modalities, and prevention strategies for both caries and non-carious lesions, including their associated complications. The text systematically presents methodologies for dental patient examination, covering carious lesions, their complications, non-carious lesions, and contemporary treatment approaches. Particular attention is given to the management of carious and non-carious dental lesions in pregnant women through a dedicated chapter. The tutorial guide incorporates three principal subjects in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education: Cariology, Non-Carious Lesions of Teeth, and Endodontics.
Designed for dental students, clinical residents, and practicing dentists, this educational resource was developed by faculty members of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at the Institute of Dentistry, N. I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University).
